The event, now in its 11th year, is held annually and has raised nearly $600,000 in total.  Catered by two dozen of Jacksonville’s finest restaurants, attendees wined and dined while watching the Jaguars battle the Chargers in the Terrace Suite overlooking the field.  Dreambuilder was a Game Day Sponsor of the event.

Dreambuilder is now on Facebook and LinkedIn!

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Dreambuilder is strengthening its social media strategy by establishing a presence on Facebook and LinkedIn.

“Realizing that today’s buyers are technically savvy, it is important to have a presence on these venues.” said Shawn Starr, president.  “In particular, Facebook will also easy, direct communication with the public for interactions, polling and discussions about home buying, home building, real estate and design trends.  This will allow our Facebook page to present unique content that is unavailable anywhere else.”

Additionally, LinkedIn allows users to become a “follower” of the company, and as LinkedIn adds additional capabilities, more content will be available as well.

It’s easy to get to either page — simply click on the Facebook and LinkedIn icons in the toolbar on any Dreambuilder page — or click here to go to Facebook or here to go to LinkedIn

Be sure to become a ‘fan’ of Dreambuilder’s Facebook page or a ‘follower’ of Dreambuilder’s LinkedIn page.

Average mortgage rate rises to 4.37%

Saturday, September 18th, 2010

Though rates ticked up, they are still at HISTORICAL lows.  Now is the time to build your dream home!  At these rates, clients would have the same payment but be able to finance 20% more than another mortgage at 6% (which is still a relatively low rate).  In other words, a $300,000 mortgage at 6% and a $360,000 mortgage at 4.37% would have the same payment of about $1795 — you’re getting $60,000 more at the lower rate.  Dreambuilder can connect you with those that can help you finance your dream.  You can learn more about the affordability of going custom here.

WASHINGTON – Rates on 30-year mortgages climbed for the second straight week, but remain near the lowest level in decades.
